With the installation of Local Service Exchange Committeemade up of different institutions that make up the Health sector, Campeche takes firm steps to advance in the implementation of the new universalization model that will reduce the care gap, guaranteeing access to full-time, timely and quality medications and medical services, regardless of one’s social security.
During the taking of protest and signing of the installation document, the Secretary of Health of Campeche and president of the new committee, Josefa Castillo Avendaño, stressed that the priority of Governor Layda Sansores San Román, is move towards the transition of services for the benefit of all Campeños.

“The transition process promoted by the federation represents for us a historic opportunity to achieve a universal, timely and accessible health system for all. We will work hand in hand with the institutions of the sector to achieve that objective, with an organization of human quality and personalized attention in services,” he stressed.
Before the general director of Health Planning and Development and alternate president of the National Committee for the Exchange of Services, Raúl Peña Viveros; and the general director of Coordination of Medical Services, Alejandra Márquez Torre; Castillo Avendaño highlighted the participation and commitment of the health institutions in Campechefor carrying out joint work that allows us to achieve the objectives.

Beginning of universalization of services
For his part, Peña Viveros explained that the installation of the committee is the beginning of actions to achieve, in the medium term, the universalization of serviceswhich is a strategy of the federal government to bring quality medical care to the population, regardless of social security.
“The people will have timely access to medicines already full-time medical units with new service schemes that will allow them to be treated in any health institution regardless of which social security institution it belongs to, which will significantly reduce the gaps in care,” he said.

He added that, for its part, the committee will be in charge of guaranteeing the committed participation of its members, the implementation of operating rules, preparation of diagnoses of comprehensive care needs and the standardization of protocols for the implementation of the exchange of services.
The institutions that make up it are: Ministry of Health, IMSS Campeche Delegation, IMSS Bienestar Campeche, ISSSTE Campeche, Campeche State DIF System and PEMEX.
